Pterostylis nutans, commonly known as the Nodding Greenhood or the Parrot's Beak Orchid, is an orchid species native to Australia and New Zealand.
This species has a basal rosette of three to six leaves and produces a single green, hooded flower on a 30 cm stalk between July and October.[1][2]
The species often occurs in large colonies in moist, protected forest environments and is native to the Australian states of South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland as well as the Australian Capital Territory.[2] It is thought to be extinct in New Zealand.[3]
